Trondheim, net als A'dam, een stad gebouwd op palen

Immediately we started climbing along way straight up the mountain and next also down. In the distance you can still see the snowy mountains we left yesterday. After a few hours I reach a ski jump. I was a bit lost. It wasn’t that bad, because now I could do ski jumping, get to a restaurant next to the jumping site to get the much needed coffee and go to the circus standing there. See pictures.
Clearly it was a Saturday morning. Everyone trimming, especially ladies with yellow ponytails. Suddenly a view at the cathedral. From the guide in the church of Skaun the day before yesterday I know a lot about the holy King Olav who brought Christianity here in the 12th century. The start of building the church , originally Romanesque, but shortly there after completed in Gothic style. I stand in front of the cathedral and who is calling me there? No, not sister Francien, but the landlady of three nights ago. Hey, because of your dog, I recognize you. I tell her that I want her on my blog too. Photo. Immediately afterwards: Hey, Harry! everyone knows me here? Now it was Francien, who is strolling around the church 50 m. away from me. So immediately pictures.
Nearby is our pilgrim hostel. We’re going to check in. Tosca will be placed on a wooden floor of the covered bike shed. Francien and I will catch up in a student-cafeteria. Actually we wanted to enter a tavern right on the square of the Cathedral, but that place closed at 4 pm. Visiting the cathedral of course, had to be paid, but we didn’t. Because at 6 pm a choir was going to sing. So we’ll simply wait until then. And indeed, we visited the pride of Trondheim for free. Back at our inn the caretaker said that pilgrims had free access to the cathedral anyway. After listening to my story she wanted to make pictures of us. O.K., go ahead! And then, in our room, as usual, “infrastructuring”: next weeks route, booking a flight back to the Nl. for the end of June, to admire our latest offspring who will be born by then. If the flight is booked I still have to arrange shelter for the dog in Trondheim when I’m in the Nl. Looking for shelter on the route of next week, text messages, blog, while showering washing clothes at the same time so it can dry tonight etc. etc.
And now come on boys, downtown, misbehaving. Ha, ha, you old sot, misbehaving! Just bragging (photo).
Beautiful old neighborhoods, still built on stilts, just like old Amsterdam. Francien and I had diner outside with a blanket drapped around our shoulders. The first raindrops chased us inside. Rumbeans, nuts, chocolate and cakes brought by Francien got acquainted with my back to basics.
