Ascension Day,  Hamar 19 km + 2 + 2 to go from hostel to center and vice versa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Donderdag 14 mei Hemelvaart Hamar 19 km +2 heen + 2 terug jeugdherberg-centrum en vice versa. \"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ponyanddogtrip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/image553-240x180.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Om 2.30 u.\">At 2.30\u00a0am. at\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"in de nacht begint het al te klaren. \">night\u00a0dawn begins.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"We vertrekken met prachtig weer richting Hamar, een oude stad met de ru\u00efne van een meer dan 1000 j. oude kathedraal.\">We leave with wonderful weather towards Hamar, an ancient town with the remains of a more than 1,000 years old cathedral. <\/span><span title=\"Helaas voor mij en voor mijn bezoek hun laatste dag, v\u00f3\u00f3r terugkeer naar Nederland. \">Unfortunately for me and for my\u00a0 visitors this is the last day of their visit, before returning to the Netherlands.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Onderweg komen we bij een oude bierbrouwerij, waarnaast het clubhuis van een golfclub is gevestigd.\">Along the way we arrive at an old brewery, located next to the clubhouse of a golf club. <\/span><span title=\"Daar moet ook te eten zijn.\">There must also be an opportunity to eat. <\/span><span title=\"En inderdaad, gegroet door iedereen, alsof we collegagolfers zijn, bestellen we wafels met slagroom en koffie, voor bedragen die het dubbele zijn van bij ons.\">Indeed,\u00a0greeted by everyone, like we are fellow golfers, we order waffles with whipped cream and coffee, for\u00a0prices that are\u00a0twice\u00a0as high as we are used to home.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Noorwegen is een van de duurste, zoniet het allerduurste, land van Europa.\">Norway is one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive, country of Europe. <\/span><span title=\"Terwijl wij nog 3-4 laagjes aanhebben, zitten ook hier die kolossale Noorse lichamen met blote armen en benen de kou te trotseren.\">While we still wear 3-4 layers of clothing, sitting here those\u00a0enormous Norwegian bodies are sitting here with bare arms and legs to brave the cold.\u00a0It makes us<\/span><span title=\"Wij lachen er maar eens om.\">\u00a0laugh. <\/span><span title=\"Ha, ha. \">Ha, ha.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"In Hamar word ik eerst door mijn collegalopers begeleid naar mijn jeugdherberg.\">In Hamar I first am guided\u00a0by my fellow runners to my hostel. <\/span><span title=\"Het vandrerhjem is gevestigd in een van de onderkomens voor de winterspelen van Lilehammer, van jaren geleden.\">The Vandrerhjem is located in one of the shelters for the winter games of\u00a0Lilehammer of years ago. <\/span><span title=\"Een kleine kamer, met bed, douche, toilet, verwarming, tv en verder met een gemeenschappelijke eetzaal en tuin.\">A small room with a bed, shower, toilet, heating, TV and more, while the big dining room and garden are common. <\/span><span title=\"Niet gek. \">Not bad.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Vandaar gaan we te voet Hamar in, waar we de rest van de middag doorbrengen op een terras.\">From there we\u00a0 walk to Hamar, where we spend the rest of the afternoon on a patio. <\/span><span title=\"We eten middag, ik het mijne plus een deel van dat van Sonja ( een van de vele voordelen van mijn huwelijk!) en daarna nog een enorm stuk cake ( plus rest van dat van Sonja, natuurlijk) zodat ik genoeg heb voor de rest van\">We\u00a0have lunch, I eating mine plus a portion of Sonja&#8217;s (one of the advantages of my marriage!). And then a huge piece of cake (plus remainder of that of Sonja, of course) so I\u00a0get enough calories for the rest of <\/span><span title=\"de dag. \">day.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Ik zoek nog een camerawinkel, om mijn kapot gevallen fototoestel te vervangen.\">I am looking for a camera shop to replace my broken camera. <\/span><span title=\"Gevonden!\">Found! <\/span><span title=\"Vandaag alles gesloten, dus morgenvroeg terug naar die zaak.\">All closed today, so tomorrow morning back to that store. <\/span><span title=\"Vanochtend de oplader voor mijn gps-batterijen in een of ander stopcontact laten steken.\">This morning I left the charger for my GPS batteries\u00a0somewhere in some outlet. <\/span><span title=\"Hehe!\">Hehe! <\/span><span title=\"Nou ja, ik kan me ook behelpen met duracelbatterijen.\">Well, I can\u00a0buy duracelbatteries. <\/span><span title=\"Dus daar ook maar en passant naar gezocht.\">So\u00a0on my way I also searched those. <\/span><span title=\"En zo blijf je bezig. \">And so\u00a0one keeps busy.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Na vertrek van Sonja, Oesj en Paul per trein naar Oslo, ga ik retour vandrerhjem voor de gebruikelijke aktiviteiten: route van morgen naar Pilegrimsherberget Konfirmantsalen even voorbij Brumunddal, mails, sms, weersbericht bekijken enz. Pauls gidsje wil mij in 4 dagen naar Lilehammer leiden\">After departure of Sonja ,Oesj and Paul by train to Oslo, I will return to my Vandrerhjem for the usual activities: tomorrow&#8217;s route\u00a0to Pilegrimsherberget Konfirmantsalen just past Brumunddal, emails, sms, view weather report etc. Pauls guidebook wants me to walk to  Lilehammer\u00a0in four days<\/span><span title=\", maar ik wil dat traject doen in 3 dagen.\">but I want to do that route in three days. <\/span><span title=\"Dat is weer een heel gepuzzel.\">That&#8217;s very puzzling. <\/span><span title=\"Waar liggen overnachtingsplaatsen?\">Where are lodges for the night? <\/span><span title=\"Zijn die geopend?\">Are they open? <\/span><span title=\"Wat kost het?\">What does it cost? <\/span><span title=\"Is daar eten of moet ik dat meesjouwen?\">Is there food or should I carry it with me? <\/span><span title=\"Is er kookgelegenheid?\">Is there a kitchen? <\/span><span title=\"Mogelijkheid tot inkopen doen?\">Ability to do shopping? <\/span><span title=\"Moet ik reserveren?\">Do I have to make reservations? <\/span><span title=\"Hond welkom?\">Dogs welcome? <\/span><span title=\"Tenslotte iets gevonden in Veldre, 27 km.\">Finally I found something in Veldre, 27 km. <\/span><span title=\"verder, richting Lilehammer.\">further direction Lilehammer.
