We had one room with 4 twin beds. We\u00a0kept a lot of clothes on\u00a0in our sleeping bags to avoid getting cold.
\nWhat\u00a0do you do\u00a0at night, when the sanitary\u00a0urge is too high? The toilet, the house, 50 m. away, through wet grass, through pools of water, rain and a leaky gutter. In a kitchen cupboard was an old time\u00a0pis bucket. There was a “porch”,\u00a0 wooden planks with large gaps between them. Each of us\u00a0made his\/her\u00a0own nocturnal pee strategy and we met again when the first one woke up in the\u00a0morning.
\nWe walk to the nearby gas station, there to buy a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Norwegian cappucino is a glass of milk with a tiny dash\u00a0of coffee that one can hardly tatste.\u00a0Very insufficient\u00a0to meet my\u00a0<\/span>caffeine addiction.
\nAlong the way we\u00a0were lucky anaough to find a Spar where our\u00a0empy supplies\u00a0were replenished.
\nWhat can I tell you about the route? Obviously cozy with\u00a0the four of us, the\u00a0beautiful landscape with\u00a0rolling fields and forests,\u00a0the largest lake in Norway Mj\u00f8sa, always\u00a0in the background. I told my visiters, that I have shown thehm all the best of Norway, except for the Dobrefjell and the moose. The word was not yet\u00a0spoken\u00a0when Paul stopped rigid, put his\u00a0finger on the mouth and pointing into the distance: our moose. A young specimen according to Paul. About male or female, he hesitated somewhat, which we really did not expect from him. Many photos were taken of the green? moose in the green grass between the green leaves. We made c<\/span>offee,\u00a0had some bread and napped an\u00a0hour.
\n<\/span>Around 16:30 our landlady led us to the stabbur which was converted into a holidy apartment: Electricity, one little\u00a0electric radiator, a toilet, a shower room, two bedrooms. <\/span>Such a luxury. <\/span>The daughter proudly demonstrates her quail and rabbits <\/span>Tosca should be in the stable.
\n<\/span>The landlady warns us that tomorrow will be\u00a0Ascension Day\u00a0and\u00a0everything will be closed. Oh shoot<\/span>, I do not have enough food for Tosca. <\/span>As befits a good hostess she offers directly to buy feed for Tosca in the slightly more distant village Hamar, our goal for tomorrow. Tomorrow in <\/span>Hamar\u00a0Sonja, Oesj and Paul will leave back home again by train to Oslo.
\n<\/span>In the distance the mountains are all white with snow. <\/span>That must be the Dobrefjell plain. <\/span>There live reindeer, musk oxes, wolves, lynx, wolverines and soon Tosca and me. <\/span> I expect to get there in two weeks. <\/span>Hopefully the snow will be\u00a0mostly melted then, because my left shoe begins to crack and weeks of walking with wet, cold feet is\u00a0not really fun.
\n<\/span>We talk about important issues, such as working dogs, dogs for hunting, herding dogs in the herd of sheep, huskies for sled, country smells, as right here in the pigsty, where all\u00a0the towels that we got are\u00a0smelling after, and other important matters. <\/span>The ladies love\u00a0cooking even more\u00a0than the men do, so\u00a0Paul and I\u00a0let them cook. <\/span>Paul thinks that in winter such a wooden\u00a0cabin would be even more fun. <\/span>I express my doubts about the heating capacity\u00a0of that single electric radiator. <\/span>But with the 4\u00a0pits electric stove <\/span>continuously burning\u00a0(as\u00a0in yesterday’s cabin) we\u00a0may possibly\u00a0survive. <\/span>And\u00a0thus we\u00a0spent the evening,\u00a0knowing that\u00a0postprandial (after a meal) nuts and beer are awaiting us. <\/span>Oladeladio!
\n<\/span>After the\u00a0penne with pesto meal we made a stroll in beautiful evening sun at the shore of the lake. <\/span>At 9.45 pm. the sun is gone and we are back “home”. <\/span>Oesj scrubs 3 days\u00a0of walking sweat from\u00a0her white skin,\u00a0experiencing that the smell of the pigs rivals\u00a0the sence of\u00a0etheric oils.<\/span><\/p>\n
