Therefore the\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Daarvoor moest eerst de woonkamer geruimd worden: de paar stoelen en het tafeltje werden naar de keuken verplaatst.\">living room had to be emptied: a few chairs and the table were moved to the kitchen. <\/span><span title=\"Sonja en ik hadden elk 2 stapelbedden, maar, natuurlijk, ieder slechts een nodig.\">Sonja and I each had two bunk beds, but, of course, each one of us\u00a0only needed one. As dog Tosca was tire<\/span><span title=\"Tosca was moe en mocht bij Sonja en mij op de kamer.\">d, we allowed her in\u00a0Sonja and\u00a0my room. <\/span><span title=\"Na een inspannende dag is ze altijd ausrangiert, dus haar op de slaapkamer leek wel verantwoord. \">After an exhausting day, she is always ausrangiert, so letting her in our bedroom seemed justified.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"De wc was 50 m. verder.\">The toilet was 50m. away. <\/span><span title=\"Achter de deur &quot;ochsen&quot; was een plank met twee gaten, om gezellig samen de behoeften te kunnen doen.\">Behind the door &#8220;Ochsen&#8221; was a shelf with two holes, so one could socialize\u00a0doing his\u00a0needs. <\/span><span title=\"Achter de deur &quot;kuhe&quot; het zelfde. \">Behind the door &#8220;Kuhe&#8221; the same.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Een mooie route langs meren, door wouden met veel stenige, moerassige paden, gelardeerd met elandenkeutels, bracht ons door een 4 km.\">By a scenic route along lakes, through forests with lots of rocky, swampy trails, interspersed with moose droppings,\u00a0we reached\u00a0a 4 km. <\/span><span title=\"breed bos met dikke, oude dennen, een oerbos volgens het boekje.\">wide forest with thick, old pines, a primeval forest\u00a0according to friend Paul&#8217;s\u00a0book. I didn&#8217;t see any<\/span><span title=\"Geen dikke dennen gezien.\">\u00a0thick pines. <\/span><span title=\"Bovendien, een oerbos van 4 km.\">Moreover, an ancient forest of 4 km. <\/span><span title=\"breed leek ons niet zo indimagerukwekkend.\">wide did not seem\u00a0very impressing to\u00a0us. <\/span><span title=\"Een auerhoen vloog weg uit een boom.\">A capercaillie flew away from a tree. <\/span><span title=\"Dit is de grootste wilde hoenderachtige in Europa, bijna zo groot als een kalkoen en uiterst zeldzaam.\">This is the largest wild gallinaceous in Europe, almost as big as a turkey and extremely rare. <\/span><span title=\"Paul hoorde wat ritselen en vermoedde de zoveelste eland, die we bijna wel, maar weer net niet zagen.\">Paul heard some rustling and suspected another moose, that we almost did see, but missed again. <\/span><span title=\"Had ook een bijna-lynx kunnen zijn.\">Could also be a near-lynx. <\/span><span title=\"Achteraf denken we dat het oerbos dat stuk land was, waar bijna geen bomen meer stonden. \">In retrospect, we think\u00a0the primeval wood was the part of our trail\u00a0where there were no more trees!<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Rond 4 uur bij hutte Hestnes Nordre (streepje door de o) Gard bij Espa: geen stromend water, wc in huisje 50 m. verder door het natte gras.\">Around 4 pm we arrived at pavilion Nordre Hestnes (dashed by the o) Gard at Espa: no running water, toilets in the cottage 50 m\u00a0away through the wet grass.. <\/span><span title=\"Geen verwarming: twee ruimtes, \u00e9\u00e9n beneden als woonkeuken en \u00e9\u00e9n boven met bedden en nog veel extra matrassen.\">No heating: two rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs with kitchen and beds and many extra mattresses. <\/span><span title=\"Buiten regent het pijpenstelen.\">Outside it rains continuously. <\/span><span title=\"De gastvrouw vertelt dat hier lynxen en wolven worden afgeschoten, v\u00f3\u00f3rdat ze zich in het voorjaar aan het jongvee te goed doen.\">The hostess here\u00a0says\u00a0that lynx and wolves are shot, before they\u00a0can eat\u00a0the calves in the spring.\u00a0Our trip<\/span><span title=\"Het wordt steeds echter.\">\u00a0is\u00a0getting cooler all the time. <\/span><span title=\"We beginnen bijna te denken, dat we hier thuis horen.\">We\u00a0almost think that we belong here. <\/span><span title=\"Alleen, de temperatuur en die dagelijkse regen bevallen maar matig. \">Only the temperature and the daily rain we don&#8217;t appreciate very much.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Ook vertelt de dame, dat ze een dochter heeft, die getrouwd is in Schotland.\">Our landlady says she has a daughter who is married in Scotland. <\/span><span title=\"Steeds weer ontmoet ik mensen met familie in het buitenland.\">Again and again I meet people with relatives abroad. <\/span><span title=\"Weer een aanwijzing dat de wereld voornamelijk bevolkt is door allochtonen.\">Another indication that the world is mostly populated by ethnic minorities. <\/span><span title=\"Allochtonen, zoals wij in Noorwegen. \">Immigrants, just like us in Norway.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Gegeten in het enige restaurant in de verre omgeving, nl. pal naast onze hut.\">Diner\u00a0at the only restaurant in the entire area, viz.
