Today Rudi E. was here for filming.
\nTuesday is the child guarding day for Sonja. She drives 40 min. to Lanaken in Belgium to guard two of our grandchildren. In the evening I usually go there and we have diner all together. On the road from Lanaken back home I see a man standing in Margraten hitch hiking. It is cold and dark. I know by experience how unpleasant it is to have no shelter. I stop and the man asks “do you speak English?”. He had a fantastic story that he had flown to Southern France from Canada. In Marseille he was robbed of his money and of his handy. Because he was “fireman”, he could not go to a normal embassy for a new IDcard, but he would have to hitch hike to Lapland in the extreme North of Europe in Norway, the only Canadian base in Europe, he said. He had a story that was very unlikely: During 2nd WW his grandmother had to walk a long deathmarch from one concentration camp in Germany to another one . He, Patrick, ever promised his grandmother to make the same march his grandmother made and that would be his mission in Europe. And I hate Europe and Europeans, he said. They lift their middle finger up to me and spit into my face. Well, that’s weird, I only met nice people, I replied. He had diner and slept at our house and tomorrow he would go and continue his trip again. (Much later I thought of him being a little schizophrenic).
\nThe schedule is: tomorrow morning meeting with Jo and Mariet, Jos and Bri, the day after tomorrow with TV Omroep Krijtland and newspaper Dagblad de Limburger, Friday, March 13th farewell to an employee of our office and Saturday, March 14th on the road again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
