Bar sur Seine, beautiful Burgundian town with even a hairdresser! “Beautiful” weather: cloudy, cold. We didn’t follow the road, so Tosca was free and therefore no cursing at the poor animal. \nAnd then we arrived rather early at our hotel. Enough time left to visit the town of Bar Sur Seine. \nIn the city I was amazed at the great number of beautifull half-timbered houses, but also by the information that the saleswoman in the map store had a friend in Dutch Venlo. She had a warm interest in Dutch men. Mm? And then? Harry wanted to go to the hairdresser. The barber left me to his young female assistant. He was very right to do so. Unbelievable. What a dedication from her side. She did her work so closely, that her nose was almost in my ear. I could see in the mirror. I wanted to immortalize this view with the camera, so I jumped to get it. She backed away, probably scared ’cause you never know what kind of personality disorder her client might have. But I reassured her and successfully. Possibly she also whispered in my ear, but given the deterioration of my hearing and perhaps even the language barrier, I cannot be sure according to Jos.
\nThe barber himself , who was getting wild with another customer told me about an Irishman who went and returned with the bike from Ireland to South Africa. The guy must have been mad! Besides, That is a piece of cake, if you do so without a horse and dog. Wimp!
\nFurthermore nothing special. Tos and Leon in a garage. The lady of the home of tomorrow , said that besides the press, she also would order a farrier . All settled, all paletti . Guys, how good live can be. Diner! Menu du jour?: not available . Yes , we must discuss again. The waiter comes back after a minute and makes us a proposal, which makes a positive impression . Oui we both said enthusiastically. The waiter leaves happy. Do you know what he said , asks Jos . No idea , I answer. But for sure it will be very tasty. Besides, it’s striking how many people here speak pretty good French.
