It was a short, but rather heavy hike. Jack, who had initiated the trail (we still our thankfull Jack!) decided soon that his shape was not anough to continue this. May be in the future another part of the trail?? Later Jack’s son Craig, together with his (?)Tracy, helped Jack back home. Craig carrying his own back pack and Jack’s. They still had to walk back, up and down, some 17 km. Good job Jack. With your huge body I couldn’t have done it. We stayed over night in an empty cabin, on the first floor. That way we wouldn’t startle bears if they would come! First we made a fire for coocking and to dry our soaking wet shoes and clothing. We learnt that drying shoes takes very long. The dried food was tasty, partly because of the overdose of salt. On the other hand we could use the salt after all the sweating. Next day was beautifull. And thus is stayed the rest of our vacation in the new world. Still dirty and stinking of smoke we dipped our skin in a little lake and dried in the sun. The picture was in facebook with a reaction, asking if this were skinny dipping. We leave this to your own fantasy. At the lake we saw quite some snakes. Danya explained that she used to play with them and she gave a demonstration of snake playing. They lifted their front and ssssed at her. This reminded us of Cleopatra who was murdered with poison, though I don’t believe it was snake’s poison)
