You’re an idiot. That’s egoistic (taking a year for one self), you think that’s fun? You’ll be home soon anough! It seems that my ideas do not appeal to everybody. I don’t care. Luka, my pony with laminitis, is walking well again, due to his hoof boots. He lost quite some weight. Problem is that during our daily training walks, he is hungry and wants to pick grass. Thus we don’t advance much, so I have to teach him having diner at home and not during training. He has a warm temperament, walks fast and often is rather nasty during the first 10 min. of our training. Pulling, trying to break away, hassled bij Joep, the shepherd. Both pony and dog are males. At the start of the traing walk I takes me lot of “male” yelling and the like to convince those 2 monsters that I am the boss. It takes more than sweet words. A Dutch saying sais “who doesn’t want to listen, should feel…” This law of nature they understand. Anyway Luka walks fast and that’s what I need during my trip.
Sonja was on TV. Unexpectedly our regional TV visited our house and interviewed Sonja about the place where we live and about my trip. Several people showed interest to meet me during my trip or to even walk a while with me together. Someone wanted to write about it in the paper. This afternoon I’ll go to the office of Mama Alice in Maastricht to see if they have ideas about how my trip can raise funds for Mama Alice in Peru. I hope that more publicity also will lead to more people participating in my trip.
In most of the West European countries one can communicate in English, French, German, Dutch. But often not so in Spain. So I’m learning some Spanish. Don’t find anough time though. I’m still working part time, there is my family, I have to look after my pony, dog, 6 cattle, 1 bison, 70 sheep, vineyard, social network, the garden, training , preparing my trip, learn to work on my site, going to Canada next week for 3 weeks. And in a few months, oct. , everything must be ready.
Are you an idiot? Is that fun? Well …
