Between 6.30 PM and 10.40 PM I walked another 12 miles. In between I still worked 30 min. in my vineyard. So a pace of > 3,3 miles/hour. Again a heavy rain shower. But when well dressed that is no problem, even though a little sun would be more pleasant. I used no tape. No blisters. I started out with caoutchouc boots I had gotten as a present because it was a discount. After some 6 miles the left sole broke off and a little later the right side too. I walked just on the thin bottem side of the boots on pebbles in the rain. Like often their was angel Sonja, who, after a phone call, was so kind to bring me other boots. Also discount boots, but these did not fall apart. One thing I learnt: get decent stuff. Lately I walk with Luka without carrying a stick. He doesn’t need the correction any more. Dog and horse and I ever getting better and also getting more water proof, it seems.
